The 73-bed hospital is one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the region. Responsibilities The Polysomnographic Technologist performs various polysomnograms and other sleep disorder tests under the direction of the Sleep Lab Medical Director. Responsible for electrode attachment and monitoring of patients who are participating in a sleep study. Monitors the patient throughout the sleep study and documents observations, collects data from various monitors and reports this information to the physician. Responsible for CPAP titration and oxygen therapy when applicable. Scores reports. The Technologist should be able to use the AASM Inter Scorer Reliability program scoring 200 pages of a Sleep Record each month with scoring graded by the AASM. Qualifications Job Requirements Technical/Vocational Training Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) required upon hire BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Responsibilities
