This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care and education. Full time: 3 – 12 hr shifts per week (0.9 FTE) Nights: 6:30 pm – 7:00 am Limited weekends No holidays Education: High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required Licenses and Certifications: RPSGT-Registered Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists or EEG Electroencephalographic (R. EEG T.) preferred Note: This is required to be obtained within 24 months of hire BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic computer skills. Analytical skills necessary to resolve complex clinical problems relating to the integration of anatomy and physiology to sleep/wake pathology and patient safety and welfare. Possess adequate time management skills. Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to interact with interdisciplinary health team members and consumers. Responsibilities
The Polysom Tech I provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment procedures within the Sleep Lab. This includes polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care, and education.
