Somnus Sleep Center currently seeks a Part-time Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to work 1 weeknight and 1 weekend night (preferred Sunday & Monday). This position will involve working 10-hour night shifts. Learn more at: www.somnussleepcenter.com What You’ll Be Doing The responsibilities of the technologist will include: Sleep study data acquisition. Positive airway pressure (and oxygen) titration. Dental appliance titration. Patient education. Sleep Study Preparation and Set-Up. Sleep Study Execution and Observation. Routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation. Other duties as assigned. An Ideal Candidate Has current experience with diagnostic, CPAP/Bi-level titration, and MSLT/MWT study protocols and is thoroughly familiar with AASM Practice Parameters and other Sleep related duties. Has the ability to demonstrate strong patient care skills, exceptional customer service and can work independently. Has good people skills, is a team player, and is detail-oriented. Is knowledgeable and able to comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues. Requirements The successful candidate will meet the following requirements: RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist- BRPT). Graduation from an AAS degree Polysomnography program. Two (2) -years experience as an RPSGT. Board Certified and active Maryland licensure. Adherence to HIPAA privacy standards and AASM scoring manual. Ability to assist with patient transfers and remain alert during 10-hour overnight shifts in a darkened environment. Benefits & Perks Hourly Rate: Rate for this position is commensurate with experience. ($30-$36/hr) Set Schedule: Consistent 10-hour night shifts (Sunday and Monday nights preferred). No "on-call" or floating rotation required.
