Join Our Team as a Sleep Technologist! Are you passionate about improving patients’ sleep health? UPMC St. Margaret is seeking a dedicated Sleep Technologist to join our team. If you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to exceptional patient care, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: Sleep Study Preparation: Review patient charts, and testing orders, and verify patient identification. Sleep Study Set-Up: Apply electrodes and sensors per AASM guidelines and explain procedures to patients. Sleep Study Procedure: Conduct in-center and out-of-center sleep studies, ensuring quality and exceptional patient care. Analysis and Scoring: Analyze and score sleep studies. Maintenance: Clean equipment and patient rooms, perform routine maintenance, and manage lab supplies. Competency: Maintain scoring competency and meet monthly AASM ISR requirements. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to system-wide competencies and behaviors. HS graduate and graduate from an education program in polysomnography accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) preferred with sleep credential from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT), the National Board of Respiratory Care (CRT-SDS or RRT-SDS) or the American Board of Sleep Medicine (RST). Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: BLS required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. Responsibilities
