Join our team as a Full-Time Sleep Technologist! UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is hiring a Sleep Technologist to work at the Children’s Main Campus in Lawrenceville and at the Children's North Sleep Lab in Wexford. This position will work night shifts, 3 days a week, 5:45pm to 6:00am. This position offers a sign-on bonus of $5,000.00 in exchange of a 2-year work commitment with UPMC. The Sleep Technologist role operates under the supervision of the Lead Sleep Technologist and in collaboration with administrative and medical management. The ideal candidate will be skilled in conducting both in-center and out-of-center sleep studies, therapeutic interventions, and patient education. Key Responsibilities: Prepare for sleep studies by reviewing patient charts and verifying orders. Set up sleep studies, including electrode and sensor application per AASM guidelines. Conduct sleep studies with a focus on quality and patient care. Analyze and score sleep studies accurately. Perform routine equipment maintenance and inventory management. Ensure scoring competency through monthly AASM ISR requirements. High School Diploma required. Graduate of a Polysomnography Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) preferred. Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) certification required. Strong understanding of sleep study procedures and equipment. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) OR Registered Polysomnographic Technologist OR Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Clearances with Renewal: Act 31, 33, 34, & 73 UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
