DESCRIPTION

SLICFiber®, the fastest growing fiber optic telecommunications company in Upstate New York, is seeking a full-time account executive. The Account Executive will be responsible for identifying and establishing new telecommunication services with businesses, other carriers and enterprise customers, as well as with residential customers within the AE’s geographic service area. The position requires prospecting, business development and an intense focus on customer needs. The successful candidate will be a careful listener, skilled problem solver and creative engager who drives solid revenue growth while also emphasizing customer retention through excellence in customer relationship management. Intrastate travel will be required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management, Computer Science, Communications, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and networking skills, with a passion for building relationships
  • Comfortable engaging with business owners, decision-makers, and community leaders Effective and efficient time management.
  • Ability to think strategically and work effectively with a diverse group of co-workers and customers.
  • Willingness to attend community events, networking functions, and trade shows (some outside standard office hours)
  • Successful telecommunications sales experience with a solid understanding of network solutions.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software (or willingness to learn)
  • Valid state driver’s license.

SALARY DESCRIPTION

$35,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year plus commissio

Responsibilities
  • Generate new business by prospecting and qualifying leads.
  • Identify and assess customer needs
  • Prepare and present tailored SLICFiber® Internet, VOIP, and IT solutions to businesses and individuals.
  • Meet or exceed assigned monthly quota, established sales activities, goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospects, partners, and customers.
  • Manage existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Actively participate in community events, business associations, and trade shows to expand SLICFiber’s reach.
  • Maintain a database of sales progress detailing targeted customers, along with their needs and time frames for potential new business opportunities.
  • Serve as liaison between the customer and the internal engineering team for all technical resources needed to assess and design network solutions.
  • Write proposals, submit quotes, and negotiate contracts with customers and partners.
  • Work with Solutions Delivery to ensure that post-sale implementation occurs efficiently, and in a manner that exceeds customer expectations.
    COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: SLICFiber® puts great value in the Account Executive position by offering a foundational annual salary coupled with nearly unlimited upside potential. SLICFiber® also offers excellent benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid holidays, paid time off along with access to 401(k) retirement plan. Base salary $35,000 - $55,000 depending on experience and qualifications, plus sales commission, retention fees and benefits providing a success-based path to six figures.
