An Exciting opportunity has become available for a Slicing Shift Manager
Main responsibilities are-
· Maintaining Health, Safety and Welfare of yourself and other employees in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 as well as adhering to COSSH regulations.
· To ensure strict compliance of CCP’s at all times.
· To enforce rules and regulations and good practices with regard to health and safety, food hygiene and quality standards and a clean as you go policy.
· To hold regular team meetings ensuring the issues that come from these meetings are addressed in a timely fashion
· Utilisation and Management of core staff and agency to maximise production and minimise cost.
· The completion of the staff daily time and attendance records in conjunction with HR and company
o procedure, highlighting any issues arising from these.
· In conjunction with HR manage absence effectively and conduct return to work interviews in a timely fashion.
· Liaise with HR, with regards to the investigation and documentation of any incidents relating to poor performance, breaches of procedure and damage to company property along with any other staff issues and conduct disciplinaries
· Lead, develop and motivate the Supervisors and Line Leaders in accordance with the business plan.
· Identification and planning of production related training needs and requirements are highlighted and addressed, ensuring adequate cover of key skills at all times and ensuring succession Management plan is in place and relevant people are being trained accordingly.
· In liaison with HR all staff are trained to standard operating procedures – paper work is completed and the training matrix is updated.
· Any external training required or booked needs to go through HR with relevant costings.
· All staff are trained and signed off to the relevant customer specifications.
· To attend production meetings on a daily basis and report on staff numbers, KPI’s, machinery breakdowns and any other issues that need to be addressed at the meeting.
· To ensure correct storage and management of all stocks in conjunction with the Planning Department.
· To ensure daily plans and targets are achieved (e.g KPI’s, yield output, attendance) and down time is minimised.
· To complete the daily statistics spreadsheets and highlight any shortfalls from the set targets.
· To ensure process paperwork is completed in a timely fashion with correct information and it is communicated to the factory floor.
· To complete the shift handover sheet and KPI spreadsheet at the end of each shift.
· To further develop communication both with and between departments both formally and informally.
Shift pattern- 3 on 1 off 3 on 7 off working from 6am till 7pm with 2 30 minutes unpaid breaks.
Applicants must have great leadership, communication and Organisational skills.
