A Slitter Setter / Operator is required to join a large steel firm located in the Handsworth area of Birmingham on the border with West Bromwich on a temp to perm basis.

You will be responsible for setting and running the narrow coil slitting lines, processing steel coils, loading and unloading the machinery and more. Your regular duties would include;

• Setting and operating a narrow Brookes slitting line
• Loading and unloading steel coils
• Marking material with works information
• Banding up processed coils when required
• Operating overhead cranes to handle steel

To be considered for this role you will need to have prior experience running slitting lines within a steel processing company. If you have narrow slitting experience, you are spot on for this role.

The position is working straight days;

• 7:30am – 4:30pm (2:30pm finish Fridays).
• Paying £15.00 per hour depending on experience.
• Temp to perm
