Amcor Evesham is currently recruiting fora Slitting Operative. Reporting to the Value Stream Manager for Slitting (or the Shift Leader on duty), the main areas of responsibility will include running a slitting machine whilst maintaining high quality of work/throughput.

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment (at least 1 year – desirable requirement)
• Pedestrian forklift driving license (highly desirable)
• Good communication skills
• An effective team player
• Flexible working approach

Experience:

• manufacturing: 1 year (preferred

• Checking work instructions to ensure all parameters are correct
• Using the works order to check availability for all materials and equipment required for the job
• Completing the QC sheet to record all relevant information
• Sending samples to the Lab of each master laminated reel to be checked for interply/curing
• Setting film on the machine according to the instructions provided
• Seek authorisation to run the job once everything is set up
• Running the machine and slitting product to the required specifications
• Retaining a set of impressions for each lane (for future reference)
• Operating a pedestrian forklift truck
• Flexibility to run other slitting machines when required

  In addition to the above, the job holder is expected to undertake any task as directed by his/her line manager that could be reasonably expected within the remit described and is within his/her capability.

  Pay: £25,300.00-£26,700.00 per year
