*** THIS POSITION IS TENTATIVELY SET TO START ON AUGUST 3, 2026 *** POSITION SUMMARY: The Slot Assistant Shift Manager is responsible for assisting the Slot Shift Manager oversee the daily operations of the slot area during their assigned shift, ensuring smooth functioning, excellent guest service, and adherence to all regulations. Responsibilities also include directing Slot Supervisors and Slot Service Ambassadors, properly implementing all Title 31 procedures, and observing and safeguarding Company assets. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will directly report to the Slot Shift Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards. * Understand North Fork Mono Casino's philosophies and work effectively to implement them. Act in relation to Team Members and Guests, in a manner consistent with the interests of the Company. * Administers slot department policies. * Provides constructive feedback to Slot Department management on necessary changes and improvements. * Provide long-term direction and goals to their shift's Team Members. * Supervise, coach, counsel and discipline the performance of all subordinate positions. * Supports line level trainers in orientation, training and evaluation of new Team Members. * Perform the functions of subordinate positions when needed. * Conduct pre�shift meetings to provide Team Members with direct, accurate and useful information on upcoming events or policy changes. * Comply and verify all signatory controls, including jackpot/fill tickets, check in/out sheets verification, transfer or buy sheets verification, Title 31 paperwork, paid in/out slips, key control logs and radio sign out logs. * Efficiently process all requests for overrides on jackpots and fills. * Understand and be aware of the players' rewards program. * Completes guest requests for benefits, such as comps, using the player tracking system. * Aware and updated on all upcoming events and promotions. * Follow all Safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment. * Handle guest complaints in a positive and professional manner. Make decisions in the best interest of our guests and North Fork Mono Casino. * Other job-related duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: * Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and management in both written and verbal form. * Able to maintain positive and effective working relationships with Team Members, guests and other departments. * Ability to maintain high morale through support, appreciation and development of Team Members. * Understand and follow all Responsible Gaming Guidelines. * Excellent communication skills. * Good computer skills and knowledge of slot equipment. * Proficient knowledge of Title 31, MICS and internal control regulations. * Understand and practice the company culture. Ensure that the culture is known, owned and practiced by all Team Members. * Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures. * Ability to coach, counsel and discipline Team Members. Minimum Qualifications: * High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred. * Minimum of three (3) years slot supervisory experience required. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation. * Must be at least 21 years of age. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * All work is performed on site in Madera, CA. * Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions. * Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of their shift. * Ability to bend, carry, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, sit, stand, or stoop during or for the duration of their shift. * Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance. WORK CONDITIONS: Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage.
