Slots Attendant  JOB TITLE:  Slots Attendant REVISION DATE:   February 2021 EFFECTIVE DATE:       March 2011 STATUS:  Hourly DEPARTMENT:  Slots    REPORTS TO:  Slots & Cage Operations Manager / Slots Shift Supervisor SUMMARY To provide quality customer service for all casino patrons.  To develop, enhance and maintain positive and effective relations with customers and other employees. To operate within and comply with all rules and regulations put forth by Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC). Candidate must possess strong: * Organizational and time management skills * Analytical ability and critical thinking * Ability to organize and communicate thoughts * Ability to carry out responsibilities with limited supervision ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  1. Payments of jackpots. 2. Day to day general maintenance of slots machines ex: filling machines. 3. Providing change for customers. 4. Minor cleaning duties on the gaming floor. 5. Minor machine repairs ex:  bill jams, ticket jams. 6. Providing exceptional customer service. 7. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. 8. Trouble-shooting - reporting any suspicious activity to Security or Supervisor. 9. Trouble-shooting - reporting any machine malfunction that will require a service technician. 10. Keep current with machine locations. 11. Keeping a positive and friendly attitude. 12. Follows all rules outlined by Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC). 13. All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS   Must be over 18 years of age.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  High school diploma. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Gaming related experience preferred but not essential. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS  Must possess or be able to acquire successfully, a valid and current Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) license. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. LANGUAGE SKILLS  Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills using English.  MATHEMATICAL SKILLS  Basic mathematical skills.  PHYSICAL DEMANDS   Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, lifting, pushing and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks.  WORK ENVIRONMENT Essential duties involve working with large numbers of people while primarily in an inside environment which is frequently loud or containing high noise levels.  MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED Must be able to deal with various gaming related equipment in particular relating to slots operations.  General office equipment may be used including two-way radio, calculators, staplers and tape.
