Description
Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel is seeking a Part-time Slot Attendant! This secondment has a current end date of December 31, 2026 and is subject to change. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for creating a memorable experience for our guests by utilizing your boundless enthusiasm and exceptional customer service while handling jackpot payouts and responding to guest needs on the gaming floor. You will work under Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values: Prepares and pays jackpots including AML reporting requirements; Fills slot machine ticket printers; Completes machine holds for guests; Responds to guest needs (brief machine explanations); Completes bill exchanges; Responsible for balancing and maintaining float and jackpot payouts; Services slot machine malfunctions such as minor ticket jams; Ensures the highest levels of customer service; Assist and respond to all guests, and employees Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor/Manager Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications: Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent. One (1) or more years of experience in customer service and handling cash (preferably large volumes) Excellent communication, multi-tasking, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills An ability to work in a physically demanding area and be familiar with a high-volume, fast paced, shift work environment. The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work will be based on operational needs.
