JOB TITLE:                                    Slot Floor Generalist (Must be 21 years of age or older) DEPARTMENT: Slots REPORTS TO:                                Slot Manager SALARY:                                          Grade 9 Range Start: $21.94/hourly Range End: $32.90/hourly CLASSIFICATION:                          Non-Exempt  SUPERVISES:                                 Slot Floor Cashiers, Slot Technicians, and Cocktail Servers in the absence of the Slot Floor Supervisor. JOB SUMMARY:                             This team member serves beverages and food items to guests and is responsible for all cash transactions for guests in assigned approved areas of the Resort & Casino. This team member may be responsible for the maintenance of all slot machines within the Resort & Casino including installations, repairs, and removals. This team member supervises slot floor operations during an assigned shift.    THIS POSITION IS CLASSIFIED AS A REDDING RANCHERIA TRIBAL KEY EMPLOYEE   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES    The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive:     1. Monitors use of alcoholic beverages; identifies guests showing signs of intoxication per applicable laws, regulations, and Resort & Casino SOPs.  2. Abides by all State, Federal, and local liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. 3. Processes cash transactions for guests in a timely manner while following departmental policies and procedures. 4. May assist in training new team members and answers team member questions. 5. Ensures the security and confidentiality of private guest information. 6. Ensures the Resort & Casino's various electronic machines operate accurately for the integrity of gaming. 7. Directs the work of Slot Department team members and directs slot floor operations during an assigned shift. 8. Responsible for addressing guest complaints and disputes, and resolving problems. 9. Monitors and enforces departmental policies, procedures, and internal controls.  10. Performs assigned Slot Department activities in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and the System of Internal Controls. 11. Assists in slot payout processing as defined in the System of Internal Controls. 12. Responsible for the application of federal cash reporting requirements.  13. Processes overrides and voids in the Food and Beverage point of sales system as needed for team members. 14. Monitors activity in assigned areas and assists with administration of special programs and promotions. 15. Reports all irregular play or activity, including employment issues, to the Slot Manager. 16. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the slot department in the absence of the Slot Manager.    17. Performs all duties in a manner that continually supports the vision, mission, values, and principles of the Resort & Casino. 18. Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the guest service standards established by Win-River Resort & Casino’s guest service program. 19. Other duties as assigned by the Slot Manager.    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS   The education requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, higher levels of education than required will be reflected during the recruitment process:     * A High School diploma, or the equivalent thereof, is required.    EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS   The experience and knowledge requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position; however, higher levels of experience and knowledge than required may be reflected during the recruitment process:     * Must be 21 years of age or older. Redding Rancheria tribal members must be 18 years of age or older. * The ability to use independent judgment to make discretionary decisions regarding Resort & Casino operations is required.  * A thorough and working knowledge of the Slot Department, including payouts, guest relations, and monetary controls as outlined in the System of Internal Control, is required. * A strong understanding of the principles and practices of team member supervision is required.  * A strong combination of written and verbal communication skills to write, read, and comprehend written correspondence is required.  * The ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members of the Resort & Casino is required. * The ability to perform job functions in an atmosphere where priorities and deadlines may change frequently is required. * Knowledge of technical components of slot machines or ability to do minor repairs on slot machines is required.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS   The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:    * Continuously walks. * Frequently stands and reaches above/below shoulder level. * Occasionally bends/stoops and climbs. * Occasionally lifts/carries up to twenty five (25) pounds is required. * Occasionally pushes/pulls up to fifty (50) pounds is required.    WORKING CONDITIONS   The working conditions outlined here are representative of those that the team member will or may be exposed to while performing the functions of this job:   * While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to second-hand tobacco smoke. * While performing the duties of this job, the team member is usually subject to inside environmental conditions. * While performing the duties of this job, the team member may occasionally be subject to outside environmental conditions and to wet and/or humid conditions.   OTHER INFORMATION   * Native American Preference Policy applies. * This individual must be able to meet the suitability requirements of the Redding Rancheria’s Gaming Agency to obtain a gaming license. * Win-River Resort & Casino is a drug-free workplace. * This job description does not list all the duties of the job.
