Description JOB SUMMARY: The Slot Tech Manager is responsible for the day- to- day management of the Slot Tech Department front line staff, including establishing work priorities and ensuring all applicable department policies and procedures are always adhered to. The incumbent must complete and remain current on related training. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Is expected to provide aspects of superior service to both the internal and external guests. Performs assigned slot department activities in accordance with the policies and procedures prescribed in Internal Controls. Manage the successful preparation and execution of all Slot installs, moves and conversions. Ensures that all department activities are in compliance with regulations. Consults with the Director of Operations regarding employee performance and issues requiring disciplinary action. Seeks the Director of Operations guidance and authorization to settle guest disputes or concerns which involve financial claims or may question the integrity of the gaming operation. Must be able to provide direct supervision to approximately 8 - 12 Slot Attendants per shift when required. Managerial duties include training and development, assigning work, providing advice and direction, coaching and counseling, coordinating unit activities, establishing work standards, monitoring work quality, and providing functional supervision. Works closely with the Director of Operations in employee matters such as hiring or promotion, performance appraisals, and handling disciplinary matters. Required to take all necessary precautions to protect the safety and health of workers and ensure that safe work practices are developed and adhered to. Manages all Slot technical department activities including ensuring that all equipment is functioning and properly maintained; ordering and maintaining inventory of all slot equipment, materials, and supplies; safeguarding all Company assets; reviewing statistical reports for accuracy and feasibility; reviewing checkout reports and investigating and reconciling overages and shortages Review new technology, equipment, and accessories under development, and evaluate potential benefits of implanting these new ideas. Requirements GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a high school diploma or GED Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License. Must read, write, speak, and understand English Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to supervise, coordinate, direct, and assign work. Ability to make judgements and decisions regarding customer employee complaints. Some lifting (up to 15 pounds) may be required. Related education and experience preferred. 5 years previous customer service and cash handling experience is an asset. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed indoors Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions. Able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust. Able to work at a fast pace in mentally and physically stressful situations. Must maintain professional composure in all situations (e.g., demanding, or threatening customer and during periods of high business volume).
