GENERAL SUMMARY The Slot Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all slot related equipment including slot machines and components, on floor slot monitoring systems, on floor ticket printer accounting systems, slot signage and progressive controllers, and other equipment as assigned.  The Slot Technician I makes timely and efficient repairs when a Slot Floor Person cannot complete a repair and when malfunctions are discovered.  Regular duties include testing, troubleshooting, parts adjustments or replacement, clearing coin, currency, and ticket jams, game "optioning", installation of new equipment and preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubricating and adjusting components as appropriate).  The Slot Technician I assists all Slot Floor Persons in providing fast courteous friendly and helpful service to all guests and trains other team members on the proper operation and repair of equipment.  The Slot Technician I follows all laws, gaming regulations, and policies and procedures. CORE SCOPE OF POSITION * Makes eye contact with guests, addresses guests by name, if known, and wishes each player "Good Luck". * Provides fast, friendly, courteous and helpful service to all guests and team members. * Repairs slot equipment quickly and efficiently in order to get guests and machines "back in play" with minimal disruption. * Performs testing procedures on machines as required. * Replaces machine parts and components when no other means of timely repair are available. * Clears coin, currency, and ticket jams that cannot be accomplished by Floor Persons. * Installs new slot related equipment with proper "optioning" and configurations. * Performs scheduled and "as needed" preventive maintenance on machines and equipment. * Documents all repairs made to slot related equipment and completes documentation thoroughly and accurately. * Orders parts and supplies and maintains inventories when assigned. * Safeguards company assets. * Promotes teamwork within Slot Operations and with other departments. * Follows all laws, gaming regulations, policies and procedures and reports violations to the Slot Performance Supervisor. * Wears an in-ear communications device while performing job duties and responsibilities. * Attends all scheduled team member meetings and trainings. * Maintains knowledge of and effectively promotes company services and players’ club program. * Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines. * Adheres to all hygiene and safety standards. Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained. * Performs all other related duties as assigned.
