Description

Position Summary: Provide friendly, efficient “Unsurpassed Service” to guests while on the slot floor. The Slot Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of gaming machines. Assists Slot Attendants who encounter complex problems and malfunctions while working on the floor. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies and procedures. In this Role: * Responsible for always practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino’s “Unsurpassed Service Standards.” * Maintain a high level of personal integrity on and off duty. * Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive, team-oriented work environment. * Interact with Guests in a friendly and courteous manner and handle all Guest opportunities. * Must be able to effectively communicate both written and verbally with Guests, Team Members, and Management. * Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards. * Be involved in all aspects of machine conversions and relocations, including but not limited to paperwork, changing glass, basic Ethernet wiring and stringing power cords on machine banks with multiple machines. Install signage. * Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals and electrical equipment used within the department. * Perform routine slot preventative maintenance, including but not limited to working the casino floor to assist with technical coverage and responding to computer generated work orders and immediate action work orders. * Attend regular technical maintenance meetings and share knowledge, work and repair methods with other Team Members and Management. * Key control: slot machines and drop cabinets. * Establish thorough familiarity with all test equipment and support equipment including but not limited to bill validators, thermal printers, jet sorters, card readers, progressive controllers, IGT ACRES slot hardware and related equipment. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of video and slot machines. * Keep accurate and up-to-date records of competed work. * Be able to communicate with Guests in a friendly and positive manner. * Be aware of and updated on all upcoming events and promotions. * Establish thorough knowledge of IGT player tracking system. * Respond to calls from Slot Team Members and provide technical assistance. * All other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications: * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Must possess a High School Diploma or GED. * Have basic math skills. * Have working knowledge of Title 31 requirements and internal control policies. * Maintain positive and effective working relationships with teammates and guests. * Be able to communicate, understand and read and write English. * Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures. * Must obtain a Gun Lake Tribal Gaming License Physical Requirements: * Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols. * Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment. * Ability to sit, walk, stand, run, and climb stairs for the duration of shift. * Must have the ability to access all properties and areas. * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance. * Ability to read, write and input data into the computer. * Ability to stoop, crouch and kneel. Work Conditions: Work is typically in an office environment or out on the casino floor. Work areas may be warm, cold, or noisy. Tasks may be required to perform from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
