About us Veterinary Specialists Scotland (VSS) is seeking an ECVS or ACVS-boarded (or board-eligible) Small Animal Surgeon to cover both Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic cases. You will be joining an established surgical team of 4 surgeons and will be supported by a team of internal medicine specialists, anaesthetists, diagnostic imagers, cardiologists, neurologists and a dermatology department. The case load is varied and includes both external referrals and internal case transfers. We have the capacity to perform open, interventional and laparoscopic procedures with state-of-the-art equipment. Other facilities include Biomedtrix THR, Synthes and Arthrex plating gear, and a fully equipped operating suite. The team’s core values are excellence in care, for patient, client, colleague and referring vet, and we place a strong emphasis on team and collaborative working. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach and one who shares this ethos to help make VSS a supportive, stimulating and enjoyable place to practise veterinary medicine and surgery to the highest standard.
