Description Essential Skills Union Bank Small Business Banker is responsible for providing comprehensive financial solutions to small businesses while actively managing and deepening relationships with high value and opportunity clients. Key responsibilities include supporting growth of the profitability of the small business customer base, identifying, developing, and driving results, and acquiring new client opportunities through prospecting, networking, and developing centers of influence and appropriate referral sources. Essential Skills Ability to handle escalated problems and issues, medium to complex in nature. Strong knowledge of Commercial Lending and SBA Loan Programs. Comply with all department and Bank policies, procedures and regulations. Provide exceptional Customer Service at all levels. Essential Functions Relationship Management: The Small Business Banker is responsible for driving net customer growth through the overall attraction, expansion, retention including servicing of small business relationships. This role will support multiple financial centers in a defined geographic territory by focusing on their portfolio and business customers. This includes calling on small business customers with up to approximately $2 million in annual revenues with lending needs up to 100K-250K. Serve as a trusted advisor, building and deepening relationships with a dedicated portfolio of small business clients, becoming their primary point of contact. Business Development: Proactively find new clients through networking, direct outreach, and developing referral sources. Financial Solutions: Offer and advise on a range of products like business loans, lines of credit, payment processing, treasury management, and digital tools. Sales & Growth: Identify opportunities to expand services (share of wallet) and meet sales targets, working with other bank departments. Credit Analysis: Analyze client financials and business needs to structure appropriate lending solutions, often involving risk assessment. Customer Service: Handle service requests, resolve complex issues, and ensure a positive branded customer experience, even guiding clients to digital tools. Market Expertise: Stay informed on market trends, local economies, and competitor offerings to better advise clients. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or related field. or 4 years of relevant experience. 3-5 years in banking, finance, or sales. Sales strongly preferred. Strong understanding of financial products, credit, and analysis Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
