JOB CONTEXT:
(QIC) is a contract spray dryer serving food and nutraceutical market segments. All of our products are powders that serve as ingredients for further processing by our customers. Our customers range from small companies to Fortune 50 food companies, west coast to east coast. QIC has many competitors but has a truly unique and valuable market positioning in that we focus exclusively on drying specialized, customized, small run, high value ingredients. QIC builds very close working relationships with its customers for their specialized needs. We are not producing commodity products, are not volume driven, and are not transaction focused. We make food powders, but we are very much in the service business as a function of how we go to market. We do not compete on the basis of price and are not the low cost producer – all by design.
We have been in business for 38 years. Since doubling our capacity in 2013, we have grown to 65 employees. The plant operates 24/7. We have a solid reputation in the marketplace. We are privately owned – not owned by private equity.

CORE REQUIREMENTS
Four year business degree; MBA a plus
25+ years of progressive business work experience with current title of Manager or above; most of experience REQUIRED to have been in manufacturing companies
Fortune 500 company experience and small company experience.
PC and Microsoft Office proficiency
100% in office position; not a consulting job; expect to also change lightbulbs and get hands dirty
This is a new position. It is meant to be a “right hand” to CEO, at a Manager+ level, providing support and assistance across a select variety of areas, issues, functions.
