SMALL ENGINE PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (STANDBY GENERATORS)

Perfect for young retirees!! 30 year established local electrical contracting company (specializing in standby generators) has immediate opening for preventative maintenance generator technician (full/part time).

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Must have own hand tools and reliable transportation to and from work.
-Be able to drive company vehicle to each customer job throughout the day.
-Be able and willing to work in all types of environments and conditions, both indoor and outdoor (year round).
-Have a good working knowledge in combustible engine operation.
-Be familiar with basic computer skills, including iPad operation, email, and text messaging.
-Have strong written and oral skills, communicate well with others (especially customers)-yet be able to work without supervision.
-Have a squeaky clean driving record (DOT medical card and CDL is a plus).
-Be able to pass background check and submit to random drug and alcohol testing.
-Be willing to learn other skillsets and training.
-Be able to work under pressure, multitask, and meet job deadlines.

Work Location: In perso

-Performing routine Preventative Maintenance on Standby generators (air cooled and liquid cooled).
-Changing oil, coolant, batteries, spark plugs, filters, etc.
-Adjusting voltage, frequency, fuel pressure, gas regulators, battery level, engine valve lash, etc.
-Servicing automatic transfer switches, diesel fuel, LP and NG fuel systems.
-Recording and maintaining service records.
-Driving locally in company provided service vehicle from job to job.
-Occasionally assisting with generator installations when necessary.
