Job Details Job Location: A-Line Auto Parts - Liberty Hill, TX - Liberty Hill, TX 78642 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Not Specified Salary Range: $15.00 - $20.00 Hourly Position Overview This position reports directly to the Director - A-Line Outdoor Power. Small Engine Technician is responsible for repairing outdoor power equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, tillers, pressure washers, blowers, utility vehicles, and chainsaws. Incumbents of this position are responsible for helping the company provide an excellent and consistent service quality product through proper diagnosis, repair, warranty/non-warranty evaluation, cleaning, and documentation of each unit that is brought into the respective service center and/or sales location for repair or refurbishment so that the customer is provided an excellent service experience. **Pay to commensurate with experience** Primary Job Functions The primary job functions include, but are not limited to: - Responsible for repair of all assigned units correctly, safely and efficiently. - Accurately documents all work performed to each unit on the work order for invoicing to customer. - Accurately captures all product information including serial number, model number, and other required information for the proper filing of warranty claims. - Cleans repaired units prior to moving them to the outbound area for pick-up and/or delivery. - Looks up parts via the computer and retrieve parts from inventory as needed. - Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management. - Maintains a satisfactory attendance record and personal appearance. - Maintains safe and clean work environment complying with all OSHA and company safety procedures, rules, and regulations. - Works alongside team members when required to complete a repair job. Qualifications Skill Requirements The skill requirements include, but are not limited to: - Thorough knowledge of small engine operations. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities. - Proficient basic computer skills. - Ability to read and comprehend manuals and schematics. - Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. - Flexibility to meet shift and work demands. - Work involves continual walking, lifting, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching. - Work involves climbing and descending stairs frequently. - Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. of weight on a continuous basis. - Ability to read and write in English. - Must successfully complete background and criminal history checks. - Must pass a physical, human performance evaluation and a drug test. - Attitude that supports the Company’s goals and values - Must maintain regular and prompt attendance Experience Requirements At least 1 year of mechanical repair experience (varies based upon skill level of technician); or equivalent combination of education and experience Education Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience #AL123
