Responsibilities

READY FOR A ROLE THAT VALUES YOUR TIME AT HOME AS MUCH AS YOUR SKILLS ON-SITE?

Fire Safe Services is hiring! We’re looking for an experienced Small Works Fire & Security Engineer to join our expanding team, covering the Midlands and surrounding areas.
This is the perfect opportunity for an engineer who’s ready to grow professionally without sacrificing family life. In this field-based role, you’ll enjoy day-to-day variety without the long hours on the road. We keep your working patch local, meaning no cross-country travel or overnight stays.
You’ll be responsible for smaller installation projects, system upgrades, and remedial works, with all the tools, support, and autonomy you need to do the job properly and still get home on time.

HERE’S A LOOK AT SOME OF THE THINGS YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Carrying out installation, modification, and minor commissioning of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and associated systems across a variety of commercial and industrial client sites
  • Completing system upgrades, device additions, panel swaps, and all associated cabling work to meet project specifications and ensure full functionality
  • Maintaining and managing stock levels, tools, and equipment to guarantee you have everything needed for each job and minimise downtime
  • Liaising directly with clients on-site to provide excellent customer service, address any concerns, and build strong, professional relationships
