Group Summary: The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling. Job Responsibilities: Develop Statement of Work for automation projects. Lead automation projects from concept through implementation. Monitor suppliers and internal stakeholders during project development. Conduct Proof of concept projects of automation projects to validate new technology and applications. Receive and provide training to manufacturing engineering teams related to digitalization. Capture and validate best practices in automation and digitalization tools across MML divisions. Identify and select project priorities according to group strategy. Support creation of technical guidelines for automation / digitalization projects. Ensure Lean principles are in being followed going after automation projects. Professional Experience and Education: College Diploma / University Degree in designated area Experience 5+ years in manufacturing / automation engineering. Must be experienced in reading mechanical, system and layout drawings. Experience in creating drawings in AutoCAD Experience in Robot programming basics (ABB, Fanuc etc.). Skills and Competencies: Understanding PLC programming, networking protocols and technologies Time and project management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed Knowledge of different project management methodologies Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skills required.
