We are seeking an experienced agricultural professional to serve as a Program Evaluator for our Smart Farming Specialist with AI Certification program. This project focuses on enhancing sustainable farming practices through the integration of artificial intelligence and advanced agricultural techniques. Candidates must possess extensive expertise in modern agriculture, practical knowledge of AI applications in farming, curriculum development experience, and familiarity with Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the Smart Farming Specialist with AI Certification program curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards, practical agricultural needs, and PTIB requirements.
  • Assess the balance between core agricultural content and AI applications in the program.
  • Review course materials for relevance to current farming practices, sustainable agriculture, and emerging agricultural technologies.
  • Provide recommendations for incorporating real-world agricultural scenarios that demonstrate practical AI applications in farming.
  • Ensure the program adequately covers sustainable and regenerative farming practices alongside AI integration.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum development team to design and review program content for the Smart Farming Specialist with AI Certification.
  • Align learning outcomes and course materials with PTIB standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert insights into modern agricultural practices and how AI-powered tools can enhance farming operations.
  • Ensure that program content incorporates practical applications of AI in sustainable farming, grounded in real-world agricultural scenarios.
  • Attend a campus visit in Vancouver to present recommendations and finalize program deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in agriculture, with exposure to smart farming techniques or AgriTech applications.
  • Familiarity with PTIB standards and compliance requirements (preferred).
  • Practical knowledge of how AI technologies are being applied in real farming operations.
  • Experience in agricultural education, training, or extension services is an asset.

Desired Skills and Competencies

  • Comprehensive understanding of modern agricultural practices, including crop management, livestock farming, and sustainable agriculture.
  • Knowledge of how AI applications can enhance agricultural operations, including resource optimization and predictive analytics.
