POSITION SUMMARY:

McCready Law is seeking a highly organized and technically skilled SmartAdvocate Support & Implementation Liaison to join our growing team. This admin-level role focuses on supporting, implementing, and managing SmartAdvocate — our primary legal case management system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support within a legal environment, experience working with legal case management platforms (SmartAdvocate highly preferred), and a proven ability to bridge communication between technical teams, legal staff, and management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of IT Support, Helpdesk, or Case Management Platform Administration experience within a law firm or legal services environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SmartAdvocate highly preferred; experience with other legal case management software (Needles, Filevine, Clio, Litify, etc.) also valuable.
  • Strong understanding of legal workflows, case lifecycle management, and document automation.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases, reporting tools, and/or data migration is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to translate technical issues into understandable solutions for legal staff.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk) and remote support tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate system needs and improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary internal support resource for SmartAdvocate users across the firm.
  • Administer, configure, and maintain SmartAdvocate, including user management, permissions, templates, workflows, and custom fields.
  • Work closely with leadership to implement upgrades, integrations, and new features within SmartAdvocate.
  • Act as the liaison between McCready Law and SmartAdvocate support teams, coordinating troubleshooting, escalations, and enhancement requests.
  • Provide training and documentation to new hires and current staff on SmartAdvocate usage and best practices.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new employees into the case management system, ensuring smooth and timely setup.
  • Support data integrity, reporting, and audits within SmartAdvocate to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Proactively identify areas for system improvement and recommend enhancements to optimize firm processes.
  • Provide tier 1 and 2 technical support for issues related to SmartAdvocate and integrated applications (e.g., document management, e-filing systems).
  • Partner with IT to coordinate software updates, testing, and rollout plans for SmartAdvocate and related legal technology tools.
