JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a motivated self-starter who has a consultative sales approach, provides excellent customer experience, and offers polished presentation skills. As an SMB Account Executive, you will be responsible for crafting, leading and closing net new opportunities among existing accounts within North America, specifically eastern Canada.
Ideal candidates will possess a consistent record in software or SaaS sales, along with outstanding interpersonal skills. As an Account Executive, you love hunting for new opportunities while developing existing customer relationships . You have a passion for building and maintaining broad relationships, developing opportunities, and working cross-functionally within Zendesk.
You are a creative, out-of-the-box problem solver who is able to articulate Zendesk’s platform vision. You can sell at the most strategic level and form strategies for winning customers on board along with being a trusted advisor. You are also fun and love being part of a team that sells together!

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue goals on a monthly and weekly basis
  • Use account planning tools to prioritize your install base for cross-sell/upsell
  • opportunities
  • Prospect among existing customers customers using various direct methods such as cold calling and indirect approaches such as networking (using tools like LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and Outreach)
  • Become a guide on Zendesk’s products and conduct discovery calls, presentations, and demos with customers
  • Weekly and monthly reporting on sales forecasts
  • Track all opportunity and customer details including use case, purchase time frames, next steps, and forecasting in Salesforce

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
  • At least 2 years of B2B sales or solution engineering experience, preferably in the SaaS industry with a proven record of exceeding sales targets
  • Experience in managing and expanding customer relationships at various levels
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and deal closing skills
  • Strong account research, prospecting, and customer outreach skills
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, strong collaboration skills, and a drive for continuous professional growth
  • Knowledge of industry trends and the ability to build relationships with key decision makers
  • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to handle high volumes of opportunities simultaneously
  • Experience creating and leveraging territory plans
  • Familiarity with key Sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and Clari
