Description
Project Background: Current BI tool: Qlik Users: ~250 Reports: ~200 Target platform: Power BI with Microsoft Fabric Migration in progress – early stages show performance limitations with Fabric after ~20 reports migrated. Target expectation: ~100 reports per user in the final system. Role Objective: We are looking for a Senior BI Architect / SME with strong, hands-on experience in: Migrating Qlik (Sense/View) reports and data models to Power BI Deep understanding and practical experience in Microsoft Fabric (specifically for large-scale reporting scenarios) Troubleshooting and optimizing Power BI performance in a Fabric-backed environment Designing scalable and performant Power BI architectures for enterprise-level workloads Must-Have Skills: Proven end-to-end migration experience from Qlik to Power BI Strong expertise in Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, Tabular Models) Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (especially OneLake, Lakehouse, and DirectLake modes) Experience with data modeling, data pipelines, and performance optimization Ability to identify and address limitations of Power BI Fabric in high-report-volume use cases Nice to Have: Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Power BI Understanding of Azure Synapse, Data Factory, or Databricks Prior work on report consolidation or rationalization strategies during migration
