Job Summary Responsible for programming, optimizing, and supporting SMT production lines, including pick-and-place machines, to ensure high efficiency, low defect rates, and minimal component wastage. Key Responsibilities Program and optimize SMT (Surface Mount Technology) production lines. Create and optimize pick-and-place / mounting machine programs. Set up feeders, tape orientations, and perform nozzle changes. Validate machine programs for new PCB designs and product variants. Support production runs including troubleshooting, changeovers, and line balancing. Analyze and mitigate placement errors, feeder issues, and component wastage. Work closely with Production, Process, and Quality teams to improve yield and performance. Maintain documentation including setup sheets, machine parameters, and change logs. Education Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering. Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in SMT pick-and-place / mounting machine programming. Experience with FUJI, Yamaha, or equivalent SMT brands is preferred. Technical Skills Strong understanding of SMT process flow. Ability to read and interpret Gerber files, BOMs, and pick-and-place data. Knowledge of common placement defects and root cause analysis. Experience in feeder troubleshooting and placement error mitigation. Ability to control and reduce component wastage. Competencies Strong troubleshooting capability. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
