We are looking for an ambitious and energetic full-time SMT Machine Operator to help us expand our manufacturing services. The selected candidate will be responsible for inspecting components, setting up, loading and operating all automated SMT equipment.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced understanding of PCB assembly processes. · Understanding of PCB assembly drawings, BOMs, and related documents; ECNs, and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of set-ups, programming and adjustments for automated SMT equipment an asset.
  • MUST have working electronics experience in electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with SMT machines operations and process such as manual hand placement of components (training will be provided).
  • Experience with current IPC class 2 standard for proper insertion, placement and reflow of components.
  • Maintain department specific records.
  • Willing to support other departments when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Experience in setting-up and operating Solder paste jet printer, PnP machine, reflow oven, and AOI.
  • Work in a fast-paced SMT machine operation environment and meet tight production schedules/ deadlines.
  • Perform frequent machine change-over/set-up or loading/unloading or reeled components on feeders and participate on tape and reels activities.
  • Prepare and inspect all levels of electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCB’s) according to specifications, product, and customer requirements.
  • Perform SMT inspection to IPC standards.
  • Perform in process inspection using microscope.
  • Provide guidance and training to SMT Operators.
  • Work with leaded and lead-free solder.
