With panoramic views of the D.C. skyline and a legacy of hospitality spanning more than a century, WGCC offers an extraordinary member and guest experience- and we're looking for a Seasonal Snack Bar Manager to join our team for the upcoming Summer season! The Seasonal Snack Bar Manager will be responsible for oversight of Champion’s Grill Operations, a high volume F&B outlet servicing our Pool and Outdoor Leisure areas. Leader of a team of individuals, responsible for their hiring, training, and continued oversight. Responsibilities: Oversee team of individuals for the duration of the operating season. Responsible for hiring, training, discipline, and continued management of said team. Creates and executes an onboarding/training program Creates weekly schedule, communicates it to staff, and ensures that the team adheres to it Ensures that Uniform and Appearance standards are upheld Works closely with Head Chef to create seasonal menu, and is able to identify & incorporate market trends and consumer preferences. Responsible for the daily operation of the outlet Ensures proper stock levels are adhered to. Ensures that product offerings meet or exceed member expectations, and has the authority to adjust in-stock product accordingly. Works with equipment vendors to maintain a functional and efficient kitchen Creates and adheres to opening and closing checklists, ensuring a clean, presentable, and well stocked outlet Greet and serve members and guests in a high-volume environment Operate Point of Sale system, accurately sending orders to the kitchen and billing members appropriately Carry food to members and guests as they are seated in the seating area Continually maintain a clean, presentable, and welcoming environment (including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal) Expedite orders from the kitchen and ensure their accuracy Receive and resolve complaints concerning food, beverages and service, relaying incidents to Restaurant Manager/ Asst. Director of F&B for follow up. Regularly inspect all front- and back-of-the-house service areas and equipment to ensure that sanitation, safety, energy management, preventive maintenance, and other standards of the department are met Responsibly handle the sale and oversight of alcoholic beverages in accordance with state and local laws, ensuring the Club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed Other duties as assigned Requirements Experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified Demonstrated polished, professional appearance and presentation Demonstrated organization and coordination skills and ability to meet deadlines and ability to multi-task in a sporadic, fast-paced environment Ability to maintain quality and safety standards Strong reasoning ability and critical thinking skills Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills to a wide variety of constituents Excellent interpersonal/relationship-building skills Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service Must be over the age of 18 Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to stand, walk, squat, kneel, reach, bend, twist, crawl, climb, clean, and lift up to 20 pounds Must be able to handle hot and cold interior and exterior conditions and exposure to dust, fumes and gases Must be able to work in close proximity to moving machinery Independent mobility
