With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking a Snow Removal/Hoisting Engineer to join our dynamic team. Scope of Work The Snow Removal/Hoisting Engineer is responsible for safely and effectively clearing snow and managing risk associated with snow/ice. This role involves operating heavy equipment and machinery to maintain safe access in the facility and perform hoisting operations as required. This role ensures all snow removal is completed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner while adhering to company safety standards. Shifts: 2:00pm – 10:30pm, 10:00pm – 6:30am. Days off will be determined based on inclement weather. Key Responsibilities Operate snowplows, skid steers, salt spreaders, and other related equipment Remove snow and ice from parking lots, walkways, and facility areas Apply salt, sand, and de-icing materials as needed Maintain equipment, perform pre- and post-operation inspections, and report any mechanical issues Respond promptly during inclement weather, including nights, weekends, and holidays Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently to maintain clear access for vehicles and employees Operate hoisting equipment such as lifts in compliance with hoisting laws and regulations Inspect hoisting equipment before and after use to ensure safe operation Follow safety procedures, signals, and communication protocols when performing lifts Assist with general maintenance tasks when snow or hoisting operations are not required Perform preventative treatments (liquid, pellet, and sand) during expected freezing conditions or potential snowfall, not only during active snow events Requirements Valid Massachusetts Hoisting License: 1A-C/2A-D Experience operating heavy machinery for snow removal or hoisting operations Effective verbal and written communication with strong teamwork skills Valid U.S. driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience - Final approval subject to our insurance provider’s eligibility criteria Physical Requirements Ability to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to snow, ice, cold temperatures, and heavy machinery Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, kneeling, and crawling, with the ability to maneuver for extended periods, often on uneven or icy surfaces Be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
