Description

We are looking for dedicated and safety-conscious Snowplow Technicians to join our winter maintenance team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical outdoor work, thrive in a team environment, and are committed to ensuring public safety during the winter season. This role can lead into a full-time role for summer-landscaping maintenance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous snow removal or landscaping experience preferred, but training will be provided.
  • Ability to operate snow removal equipment safely and effectively.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, bending, shovelling, and working outdoors for extended periods of time and up to 15-hour shifts.
  • Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality.
  • Valid G driver’s license and reliable transportation to reporting sites.
  • Personal mobile device with a data plan (500MB monthly) for communication and using our work apps.
  • Availability for on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays during winter storms.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate sidewalk snow removal equipment, including plows, snow blowers, sweepers, and spreaders.
  • Shovel and clear snow manually from walkways, stairs, building entrances, fire exits, and other designated areas.
  • Apply de-icing products (salt, sand, brine, or calcium chloride) to maintain safe walking surfaces.
  • Pile snow in designated and approved locations only.
  • Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snow and ice events, often on short notice.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs.

· Wash and clean trucks and equipment after each use to prevent corrosion, improve safety, and maintain a professional appearance.

  • Maintain clear communication with crew leaders, site supervisors, and dispatch.
  • Follow all company policies, including safety policies, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Provide professional and courteous service at client properties.
