SUMMARY: The Mascot interacts with resort/company guests to ensure they have memorable experiences during their visit. He/she is to organize and implement engaging individual and group interactions for a varying population of guests. The Mascot will be responsible for the care of the company-issued costume including the setup and breakdown.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Interacts with guests in a pleasant and engaging manner.
  • Learn nonverbal cues to communicate with Activities Staff.
  • Utilize Activity Associate to navigate through the resort/park.
  • Use management support when necessary.
  • Follow scheduled plans and events.
  • Provides exceptional customer service.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Mascot or theatrical performance experience preferred

Responsibilities

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Level 3
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Level 3
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Level 2
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Level 3
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
