Job Details: Job Description: Defines and drives critical power and performance requirements for platform hardware and software architecture features and develops a roadmap for integration across different platforms within a product stack. Develops tools to analyze platform power and performance, important use cases, and relevant workloads to identify power and performance bottlenecks and opportunities. Defines, scopes, and conducts power and performance modeling studies using competitive projections and gathers and analyzes data from design experiments to identify and root cause power and performance issues. Invents new performance control concepts and carries them through prototyping, production implementation, and tuning. Researches platform and die voltage conversion technologies to optimize power efficiency and implements software power optimization knobs on different software platforms to meet power and performance targets for a platform. Provides power and performance projections for platform ingredients and drives design teams towards standard methodologies for reducing system power. Collaborates with architecture, design, and validation teams to create platform power and performance models to project and set power and performance targets, drive power and performance methodology, and benchmarking for the platform using relevant workloads. Qualifications: B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or related fields Minimum 4 years of Circuit, logic design or integration experience. Programming and/or SW development background (python programming skills is a benefit) Experience in power modelling methodologies and low power optimization is an advantage. Experience in BE Design (FE is benefit) Advanced understanding of power considerations at architectural, block and circuit levels is benefit.
