We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced SOC Trainer to join our cybersecurity team. The SOC Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs for new and existing SOC analysts. This role ensures that all team members are equipped with the necessary knowledge, tools, and best practices to effectively detect, respond to, and mitigate cybersecurity threats. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain training materials, labs, and documentation tailored to various SOC roles (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 analysts). Deliver regular training sessions, workshops, and simulations on security monitoring, incident response, SIEM tools, threat intelligence, malware analysis, and more. Onboard new SOC analysts with comprehensive induction and training programs. Evaluate and assess the skills and performance of SOC staff through testing and practical exercises. Work closely with SOC managers and technical leads to identify skill gaps and create customized learning paths. Stay up to date with the latest cyber threats, tools, and techniques to ensure the training content remains current and relevant. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the SOC. Support the development and execution of red team/blue team exercises and tabletop scenarios. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience working in a SOC environment (Tier 2+ preferred). Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel), EDR, IDS/IPS, and threat analysis techniques. Experience in training delivery, curriculum development, or mentoring within a technical field. Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GCIA, GCIH, or CISSP are preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to simplify complex concepts for learners of varying skill levels.
