Description QUALIFICATIONS Born-again Christian and credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures. Accepts and supports the school’s statement of faith and indicates a continuing sense of God’s direction in working at Lighthouse Christian School. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Begin each practice with prayer. Coach with the philosophy of the School and Athletic Department’s Mission Statement in mind. Establish and communicate clear expectations for all student-athletes. Provide supervision at all times for all team activities including practices and games. Plan and execute practices for students 6th - 8th grade. Collaborate with athletic director. Shall take the first aid kit with Lighthouse Christian Student Medical History Forms to each contest. Coaches must exercise a delicate balance regarding the treatment of confidential information including but not limited to medical information, pickup restrictions, and emergency contacts. CPR, BBP and Child Safety Training must be completed prior to first day of practice. ESTIMATED TIME COMMITMENT Season Dates: Fall Practices 3-5 days/week. Most likely 3:30-5PM, pending confirmation from practice site. This is a temporary, part-time position. Benefits include a collaborative and Christ-centered work environment and paid sick time off.
Responsibilities
The coach is responsible for planning and executing soccer practices for 6th-8th grade students while ensuring their safety and supervision. They must collaborate with the athletic director and maintain a Christ-centered environment during all team activities.
