WHO ARE WE?

South Western Railway (SWR) operates over 1,500 services each weekday across the network and employs more than 5,000 people. We provide easy and convenient mobility, connecting people and communities in South West London, southern counties of England, and the Isle of Wight.

ABOUT THE JOB

South Western Railway (SWR) is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Social Media and Digital Content Executive to support the delivery of engaging, high-quality digital content across our website and social media channels.
Reporting to the Social Media and Digital Content Manager, you’ll help plan, create, publish and report on content that informs, inspires, and engages, while building meaningful connections with our audience. This role supports the wider digital and marketing strategy by helping to grow our brand presence, deepen customer engagement, and drive audience growth.
You’ll work closely with the Social Media and Digital Content Manager and collaborate with teams across the commercial function – including campaigns, CRM, design, and communications – to ensure our content is aligned, on-brand, and delivering impact.
The content you create will play a vital role in engaging customers in a factual and compelling way, providing up-to-date information and inspiration to support customer journeys, build trust, and ultimately encourage repeat travel.
This is a key support role within a fast-paced and evolving environment, where responsiveness, creativity, and attention to detail are essential.
