We are seeking a dynamic Social Care Leader to spearhead our innovative bespoke “Evening Support Service” in vibrant Gorey Town. As the Lead Social Care Leader, you will be instrumental in co-ordinating, managing, and enhancing our evening support service provision, aimed at enabling individuals to thrive within their community. (This is an initial fixed term contract of 1 year)

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hold a degree in Social Care or Foreign Equivalent (validated by QQI).
  • Possess at least three years post-qualification experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Must hold a full clean driving license and be willing to drive the company vehicle.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.
  • Certificate in Management (desirable)

  • Passion for Inclusivity: Genuine dedication to promoting inclusivity, dignity, and respect for individuals with disabilities, coupled with a commitment to advancing person-centered practices that respect individual choice and autonomy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, facilitate collaboration, and advocate effectively on behalf of individuals, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights upheld.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, to accommodate the diverse needs and preferences of individuals, while maintaining high standards of confidentiality, accountability, and empathy.
Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Assume leadership responsibility for all aspects of our Bespoke Evening Support Service, including strategic planning, operational oversight, and team management, ensuring alignment with best practices and person-centered principles.
  • Behavioural Supports: Demonstrate expertise and experience in managing behaviours of concern, including the development/implementation of behaviour support plans.
  • Community Integration: Champion the integration of individuals into their local community, fostering meaningful social connections and supporting the pursuit of their aspirations, while respecting their autonomy and choices.
  • Individualised Supports: Collaborate closely with individuals to identify their unique needs, preferences, and goals, crafting tailored support plans that prioritise their autonomy, well-being, and personal growth journey.
