ABOUT YOU
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic occupational therapist with a proven background in moving and handling and single-handed care.
Working as an independent practitioner, you will assess and advise people, and their carers, who have moving and handling needs. The role includes coordinating work with a fellow moving & handling OT, ensuring and promoting safe, evidence-based practice.
This role is within our supportive and friendly adult social care occupational therapy team. You will have regular supervision, and opportunities for peer supervision and further training.
This role is hybrid, working flexibly across bases (The Hollies- Midsomer Norton, Keynsham Civic Centre, and Cleeve Court- Bath) and working from home.
The role is part time, 22 hours, Wednesday to Friday, (office hours).

ABOUT THE ROLE
Key Tasks:
Carry out moving and handling risk assessments and occupational therapy assessments
Formulate moving and handling plans.
Arrange provision of equipment and demonstrate its use.
Carry out postural and seating assessments.
