Embrace are recruiting Social Care Workers for our Children’s residential house in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. We are seeking applications from Social Care Workers who have a passion for supporting people in the community and helping them to develop within their homes. The successful candidate will be joining a strong team of existing Social Care Workers and Direct Support Workers and be overseen by a supportive management team.

SOCIAL CARE WORKERS – REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for motivated and experienced Social Care Workers who believes in developing people’s strengths. The successful candidates will provide residents with guidance, support, training, and activities to help them to achieve their goals. We are looking for candidates who work well in a team environment, working closely with your colleagues and the wider support team.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Holding or pursuing a Level 7 qualification in Social Care / Applied Social Studies or equivalent
• CORU registration or working towards it
• Demonstrate knowledge of the legislation, regulations, and standards applicable to the provision of accommodation-based services to vulnerable children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Developing the resident person-centered plan with the resident and their supporting team
• Delivering on the resident’s daily support plan
• Ensuring the ongoing focus on the person’s strengths and uncovering new ways of developing these
• Understanding of company policies and procedures to ensure consistent service practices
• Delivering on Embrace’s core Vision, Mission, and Values
• You will also be responsible for coordinating the shift when on duty. The service is a Social Care Led service with enhanced support through a full MDT. The Social Care Worker will be required to work collaboratively as part of an integrated MDT in service delivery to Residents. They will report directly to the Person-In-Charge.
