This is a fantastic fixed term 0.2 WTE opportunity for an experienced clinician who has worked in a neuro developmental disorder diagnostic service, to coordinate and operationally manage Camden Social Communication Assessment Service (SCAS). The post would include responsibility for the day to day service delivery
To act as a role model for SCAS staff, facilitating and supporting the delivery of effective patient care.
To develop partnership opportunities and joint working with clinical and non-clinical professionals, and liaise with other agencies as appropriate.
To lead SCAS in service improvements, developments as the team expands.
To operationally manage the SCAS service, working with staff from varying backgrounds, both clinical and non- clinical. To work with their direct line managers to ensure that both individual and organisational performance is optimised and that all staff have access to continuing professional education and development to maximise performance.
To support SCAS to perform effectively in service delivery and ensure effective and positive communication, promoting both multidisciplinary and multi-agency working ensuring Safeguarding policies and standards are adhered to.
To influence staff to make change, ensuring that service improvements are acceptable and sustainable across both professional and organisational boundaries.
MOSAIC is a multidisciplinary organisation based at Kentish Town Health Centre, supporting children and young people aged 0-18 with a disability, and their families. The service includes the Child Development Team (CDT), Social and Communication Assessment Service (SCAS), Single Point of Referral (SPOR), delivery of post-diagnostic parent programmes, a Feeding Clinic, the Down Syndrome Pathway and the Sleep Service.

This role may require you to work across various sites in Camden.
To work alongside key colleagues to develop appropriate and constructive relationships both within and external to the organisation.
To ensure that appropriate methods are used to ensure the inclusion of patient / parent carer perspectives within service improvements.
To work with administrators and clinicians to ensure that SCAS clinics are coordinated and booked in the most efficient and effective way possible, with clear communication with service users at all stages.
To identify and lead on the delivery of productivity and efficiency savings within SCAS.
Lead the implementation of local / Trust / ICB pathway and service developments implementing change management processes in order to fully support staff.
To work with the Medical and Clinical Leads; implementing systems and processes to manage risk and ensure full compliance with internal and external governance procedures within SCAS.
Prepare written and oral progress reports setting out progress in relation to the work and learning within SCAS.
To monitor capacity and demand in SCAS and to highlight pressures on the service or required developments to the Service Manager.
Ensure all Trusts/service policies are disseminated, understood and implemented across the service
