Description Position Summary: The Social Content Intern is responsible for assisting the Communications team with the creation of content for the Omaha Performing Arts, Steelhouse Omaha, and Tenaska Center Arts Engagement social channels. The intern also contributes to the pulling of analytics and data keeping. All interns at Omaha Performing Arts (O-pa) will participate in personal/professional development opportunities. This individual must demonstrate the organization’s Core Values of Team, Inclusion, Trust, and Integrity while providing excellent internal and external customer service. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Attend performances and education/engagement events to capture content for the Omaha Performing Arts, Steelhouse Omaha, and Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement social media channels. Create and edit videos and reels suitable for social platforms. Capture photos with an eye for social media. Help ideate content and occasionally contribute copy for captions. Assist with tracking, analyzing, and archiving social media analytic data. Help coordinate social media coverage with departments throughout the organization. May perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Experience and Qualifications: Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. Comfortable capturing photography and videography. Experience with content creation programs for social media, including Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, and in-platform tools. Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook and their photo/video requirements. Ability to recognize emerging trends and suggest content with a trend-savvy approach. Open to college sophomore, junior, or senior students as well as graduate students. Interest in arts administration or marketing, preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Reliable and willing to learn. Flexible and able to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. Physical Demands: May be required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time. The noise level in the office environment is usually quiet; public events are moderate to loud. Equipment/Machinery Used: General Office Equipment (Computer, Telephone, Fax, Copier, Printer). Content creation tools, including smart phone, camera, microphones, tripod, gimbal.
Responsibilities
The Social Content Intern assists the Communications team in creating content for various social media channels and capturing content during performances and events. They also help track and analyze social media analytics data.
