Description

WE HAVE AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN OUR SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING TEAM BASED IN TORONTO AND ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A SOCIAL CONTENT SPECIALIST TO JOIN THE TEAM.

As a Social Content Specialist, you will be supporting the development and delivery of high-impact, campaign-led and ad hoc social content across multiple brands. This role is focused on time-sensitive, project-based initiatives rather than BAU content. Working closely with the Content Manager, Planning & Ops Manager, and creative teams, the specialist translates campaign strategies into engaging social content that is on brand, on brief, and aligned with project timelines. This role also contributes to ideation, ensures compliance, and surfaces performance insights to continuously improve future campaign outputs.
Please note: This role involves close collaboration with our Social Media Marketing team in Sydney. To ensure smooth communication across time zones, we’re looking for someone who can work 11:00am – 7:00pm Toronto time, aligning with the team’s morning hours in Australia.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support end-to-end delivery of social content tied to projects (e.g. social-first promotions like ‘Battle Royale’ or large-scale programs like the Grassroots Influencer Programme or ‘Industry focused Facebook Group’).
  • Convert campaign strategy and briefs into social-first content executions - from static posts and carousels to reels and stories.
  • Collaborate with the Planning & Ops Manager and Content Manager to ensure content is briefed, approved, and delivered against project timelines.
  • Liaise with copywriters, designers, and legal/compliance to ensure content meets brand, creative, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions to add creative value to major campaign initiatives.
  • Monitor and interpret performance of project-led content and surface insights or improvement areas for future campaigns.
  • Maintain detailed records of deliverables and work-in-progress documentation for each project sprint.
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a social media, digital marketing, or content production role.
  • Proven experience writing and editing social-first copy, ideally in entertainment, gaming, or consumer brands.
  • Experience working with content publishing tools (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar).
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g. Meta Insights or Google Analytics) to assess performance and inform strategy.
  • Outstanding writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for multiple brands and audiences.
  • Deep understanding of platform-specific behaviours (Instagram Reels, TikTok trends, Twitter/X tone, etc.).
  • High-level awareness of internet culture, memes, and emerging formats.
  • Ability to work 11:00am - 7:00pm Toronto time to align with the team’s morning hours in Sydney.
