Responsible for the management of social development functions, in compliance with government and management directives. * The Social Development Director plans, coordinates and manages the administrative and programmatic activities of the department, including coordination of the CSS program. * Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance, and implement staff changes as approved by the Center Director. * Oversee the scheduling and operation of Center sponsored recreation activities and programs. * Oversee the staff schedule 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for dorm and recreation coverage. * Provide support and guidance to staff in dealing with behavior of students and resolving individual or group situations. * Develop and distribute weekly monthly and annual recreation/vocation plans and scheduled activities. * Coordinates the Career Success Standards /Conflict Resolution Programs and provides input on career development skills of students. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in counseling or work-related field preferred. * Three years of broad-based professional Job Corps or similar training program experience preferred. * One year of supervisory experience required. * Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred. * Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy. * Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check. *This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by a person assigned to this job.
