The Communications Office is the first point of contact for external media, it develops content for and manages key publications for the University and is directly responsible for the University’s flagship social media platforms. This team carries out a diverse range of work within a highly collegial work environment. The role | Te mahi The Adviser Social Media role is an exciting opportunity for the right person to create meaningful and engaging content across several digital platforms. Reporting to the Manager Internal Communications and Channels you will: • Create high-quality, tailored content for the University’s main social media channels, including images, text, videos and graphics. • Monitor, analyse and report on the performance of the University’s social media channels to refine strategies and drive growth. • Co-ordinate online presence, activity, and communities in line with Communication Services strategies. Enthusiasm, creativity, and an excellent delivery orientation is critical to success in this role. Your skills and experience | Kā pūkeka me kā wheako We are looking for a dynamic and social-media savvy professional who is passionate about connecting with our audiences through compelling, engaging, informative and authentic content. To be successful in this role, you will have: • Proven experience of social media culture and its many platforms • A background in communications or marketing • Experience in creating content (i.e. videography, photography, journalism, etc.) • An audience-focused mindset • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work autonomously and to deadlines Passion for your work and a desire to make a difference are a must.
