LOCATION: ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL & SURROUNDING AREAS

Do you speak fluent Instagram captions? Can you make TikToks that slap and email campaigns that convert? Do you love small businesses, clever content, and multitasking like a pro? Then keep reading, friend.
We’re two small business owners in Arlington Heights looking to hire a local, part-time Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to help manage the digital presence of three distinct brands. This isn’t remote…we need someone nearby who’s able to work on-site at our office, occasionally visit job sites or events, and be truly hands-on with content creation and strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll manage content creation and scheduling across three brands in very different industries:

  • A finance & education brand launching an online course and running a consulting firm
  • A home remodeling company that wants to show off stunning transformations
  • A celebration-based service creating bold, colorful outdoor displays

Core Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Content Creation
  • Design and write posts for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Capture and edit short-form videos (on your phone is fine; we care more about clever than cinematic)
  • Tailor content tone to each brand’s style
  • Scheduling & Posting
  • Use Loomly to manage post schedules and keep everything running smoothly
  • Engagement & Community Management
  • Respond to comments and DMs when needed
  • Help grow and maintain an authentic online presence
  • Email Marketing
  • Build simple email campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp
  • Bonus if you know Kajabi or are willing to learn
  • Content Strategy
  • Help create monthly content plans with key dates, campaigns, and themes
  • Report back with basic analytics or suggestions for improvement

What We’re Looking For:

  • You’re based near Arlington Heights, IL and available to work on-site at our office and occasionally out in the field (capturing video at installations, remodels, etc.)
  • You’re not just “on social,” you understand how to use social—for brand building, storytelling, and strategic engagement
  • You’re a clear communicator, comfortable wearing different hats, and flexible enough to pivot between three distinct brand voices
  • You’re reliable and respectful of time tracking—if you say you worked five hours, there should be five hours’ worth of assets, posts, planning, or engagement to show for it (we’ve been burned before—we’re not doing that again)
  • You’re familiar with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and you either know or are open to learning Loomly, Flodesk/Mailchimp, and Kajabi
  • You thrive with clear direction but can take initiative when needed—you’re not afraid to pitch ideas, ask questions, or get creative

Compensation:

  • Part-time contractor role, paid hourly
  • Starting rate: $30–$50/hour, depending on experience
  • Workload: 15–25 hours per month to start, with flexibility to grow
  • You’ll track hours by brand, and we expect transparent output tied to time
