The Social Media Assistant role is responsible for creating social media content that will inspire and engage our followers at Primark. You will work directly with the Social Media Officer, Coordinator and other Social Media Assistants to create daily social media content across multiple social networks and support the Social Media Manager with ensuring the social media strategy is embedded in all worked shared on our social channels.

Responsibilities

What You’ll do:

  • Writing, scheduling and posting content daily across all Primark social channels.
  • Identify and create interesting and relevant content, working closely with the team to ensure that we are continually exploring new approaches and adopting a ‘testing’ culture.
  • Produce a weekly report to analyse the performance of content across channels and suggest improvements.
  • Liaise with internal departments to gain key information on product, such as product ORINs, to support content.
  • Monitor, manage and engage with social media interactions through community management; identifying and creating engaging content that will drive interest.
  • Continuously monitor UGC from influencers, micro-influencers & fan community, selecting key posts for approval & inclusion in our social plan

  • Demonstrable passion for social media and fashion with, ideally, 1+ years working in digital, retail or fashion journalism.
  • Current Social media knowledge from the latest social platform updates to emerging platforms
  • A passion for creating social-first content and be comfortable shooting on iPhone.
  • Pulse on breaking social media trends and constantly on top of what’s happening in culture
  • Great copywriting skills for writing social copy in brand tone of voice and short snappy line
