Responsibilities

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

As we expand our community of learners, alumni, and industry partners, we’re seeking a dynamic Social Media & Community Executive to amplify our brand presence, foster meaningful connections, and drive engagement in the evolving education and tech landscape.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As our Social Media & Community Executive, you’ll be the voice of Vertical Institute across social platforms, creating compelling content that highlights our courses, instructor expertise, and alumni success stories. This role requires experience in social media and content creation who enjoy a fast-paced, on-the-go environment. You’ll get to pitch fresh ideas, monitor trends in education and technology, capture authentic stories, and leverage data-driven strategies—all while building a vibrant community that positions us as a thought leader in upskilling and career transformation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the marketing and design teams to ideate, create, and execute content (including infographics, videos, reels, static posts, and live sessions) for platforms like Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Telegram and YouTube, balancing educational insights with engaging storytelling.
  • Pitch creative ideas for community engagement, such as merch, collaborations and events, to raise brand awareness, drive traffic to our courses, and foster affinity among learners and professionals.
  • Collaborate on ad-hoc projects with events and community teams to support overall brand growth, such as localising global trends or reacting to emerging conversations in the edtech space.
  • Scale our brand through human interest stories, such as alumni success stories and instructor thought leadership, serving as powerful social proof to build community loyalty and attract new enrollments.
  • Proactively set up on-the-go meetings, interviews, and testimonials with instructors and alumni to capture authentic content; be comfortable in front of and behind the camera for basic photos, short-form videos, or live sessions.
  • Engage with our community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions; build rapport to encourage user-generated content and strengthen relationships with learners, alumni, and partners.
  • Leverage social data and analytics tools to inform strategies, measure campaign performance, and report insights to cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor local and global trends in education, AI, technology, and social media; identify opportunities to make Vertical Institute discoverable and maintain a positive image in Singapore’s edtech space.
