Description:
Husmates is on the search for a community manager that understands how to creatively build an authentic and engaged audience through our social channels. We are looking for anti-algo and anti-AI slop strategies that create meaningful dialogue with our clients. We are looking to connect with our audience in a genuine and deep way wherein we provide real value to their diverse needs around housing.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in community management, social media strategy, or content marketing. You must be able to demonstrate key metrics and show a portfolio of work.
- Strong creative and storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and compelling narratives.
- General graphic design skills: Proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, and Figma.
- General videography/photography skills: Experience in content generation, including video editing, short-form storytelling, and brand-driven visuals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think critically and adapt strategies based on community feedback.
- A passion for housing, co-ownership, and innovative real estate solutions.
- Experience working with startups or mission-driven brands is a plus.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
As our Community Manager, you will be the voice of Husmates across various social channels, driving engagement, conversation, and brand awareness in a way that is human-first and deeply valuable to our audience. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining a strong online community that reflects our mission and values.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute creative social media strategies that prioritize engagement, dialogue, and value over algorithmic trends.
- Create and curate compelling content (written, visual, and video) that aligns with Husmates’ brand identity.
- Actively monitor and engage with our online audience, fostering discussions and responding thoughtfully to comments and inquiries.
- Build and manage a community across platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok, ensuring authentic connections.
- Collaborate with internal teams to amplify key messaging and initiatives.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, industry conversations, and cultural shifts related to housing, co-ownership, and real estate.
- Host live Q&As, webinars, or AMAs to provide valuable insights and strengthen audience trust.
- Analyze engagement data to refine and improve content strategies while prioritizing genuine connection over vanity metrics.
