Responsibilities

Purpose of this role is to be up to date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively.
As the Social Media Coordinator you will be required to run advertising campaigns and drive engagement by creating high-quality original content on all Nu Metro Social Media Platforms. You should also engage influencers, manage our community by responding to comments timeously, and oversee our customer service across all platforms.
Your creative thinking skills and strategies will play an essential part in driving our digital narrative, enhancing our brands image, improving digital communications with customers and encouraging business growth through effective campaigns.
You will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals.
As a Social Media, Content Creator and PR Coordinator, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively.

Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence and Google ads, ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
  • Design and implement social media strategies to align with business goals.
  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos, and news)
  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure brand consistency.
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews.
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design.
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
  • Deliverables:
  • Liaise with NMC Stakeholders to produce a Social Media plan around each Stakeholders strategy.
  • Prepare a 6-week Social Media plan to present in each weekly meeting to the Marketing & Content Executive for approval.
  • Post regular content as per agreed SM plan.
  • Assist to drive traffic to the website from social media, ensure cohesion with stakeholders, content plan and website.
  • Liaise with studio and internal design teams for required artwork timeously.
  • File all artwork received or created in the correct folder as designated by the DTP Designer or Marketing Manager
  • Update site specific pages weekly with directories relevant to the site page.
  • Respond to social media queries on national and site-specific pages within 1 hour.
  • Refer all complaints received on Social Media to the HelpDesk with the appropriate contact information.
  • Incorporate new ideas and trends into plans.

  • Liaise with studio for additional images if required.
  • Liaise with Head of Design for strapping of images if required as per strategy.
